CEVA (formerly known as ParthusCeva) develops and markets an integrated portfolio of open-licensable IP in three distinct areas; DSP cores, SoC sub-systems and application-apecific platform IP.
The company's SmartCores programmable DSP cores is a family of low-power cost-effective DSP cores targeted at the high volume wireless, multimedia, computing and telecommunication markets. SmartCores is a family of six distinct product offerings - Pine, Oak, Teak, TeakLite, Palm and the recently announced Cedar. All are soft cores and thus can be manufactured at foundry and all are accompanied with a full set of development tools and software from third party developers.
CEVA's Xpert SoC Sub-System is a pre-integrated DSP core based subsystem platform incorporating a large set of system interface peripheral components, together with a full set of software and hardware development tools.
Application-specific platforms consist of full, verified SIP system-solutions in both hardware and software pre-integrated with other industry-standard processors (typically ARM'S CPU). The platform-IP are targeted at two key market segments: communication platforms, with an IP portfolio covering Bluetooth, 802.11, 2.5G, 3G and multi-Gigabit serial communications; and consumer platforms, covering GPS, digital audio, smartphones, PDAs, and VOIP.
