June 3, 2008 -- Zoran Corp. has announced the availability of its highly integrated Quatro 4301 and 4302 processors, which deliver improved performance and advanced features for inkjet all-in-one and direct-connect photo printers. The Quatro 4301 and 4302 processors offer a comprehensive set of analog interfaces for controlling mechanisms, driving displays and providing connectivity.
The Quatro 4301 and 4302 processors harness a powerful ARM9 CPU core to support differentiating features, such as a sophisticated user interface with color LCD touch panel, and connectivity options such as Wi-Fi and Ethernet networking. The CPU core is paired with a Quatro DSP core to support fast and high-quality image processing in the copy, scan and photo printing functions. Other features include the ability to connect to a television or a hard disk.
The Quatro 4301 and 4302 processors are offered in several configurations including two package options and two processor frequency options to enable OEMs to develop for various segments of the inkjet printer market, from base-feature photo printers to full-featured all-in-one devices. Zoran also offers a complete development platform that includes a development board and all-in-one and photo printer firmware. In addition, because Zoran's line of Quatro processors share the same architecture, OEMs can easily leverage their previous hardware and firmware development of other Quatro processors to compress development schedules and reduce cost.
