March 4, 2009 -- MontaVista Software, Inc. has announced support for the Moblin software platform. The open source platform supports the full feature set of the Intel Atom processor, and combined with Moblin is ideally suited for any embedded application that demands connectivity, or multimedia and graphics intensive application support, in a low-power envelope.

Moblin, an open source project hosted on Moblin.org, is an optimized Open Source Linux software stack and technology framework that delivers visually rich internet, media experience on Intel Atom Processor based devices.
Availability
MontaVista Linux for Intel Atom will be available in mid-March.
