July 1, 2011 -- In this article we will consider the various classes of devices that are available from the major vendors. As a reminder, Part 1 introduced fundamental FPGA concepts, including the underlying technologies used to create different flavors of these components. In Part 3 we will consider the design and verification techniques that are used in FPGA space.
Before we start, it should be noted that the following discussions focus only on the major offerings for which each FPGA vendor is known. You should visit the various vendors' websites for more information on all of their products and solutions.
